Garlic & the Witch, my second graphic and sequel to Garlic & the Vampire, is out and just debuted on the Indie Bestsellers list making both graphic novels bestsellers!!!!

On the Patrik side of things, still need time to heal basically. Strangely, getting into Berserk and reading the manga (thanks to my recent obsession with Soulsborne games) has helped me reflect on the work I've done so far and gives me hope that I'll someday return to Patrik.

In the meantime, I'm working on my next graphic novel The Firelight Apprentice which'll come out sometime in 2024.

Sorry this is the update y'all weren't looking, but it has been really nice just focusing on this graphic novel and not stressing out over Patrik in my free time.

Hope y'all understand, if anything, use this time to reread the comic or check your fav booksellers for copies of Garlic & the Vampire... 

Update 1/7/2022: Have you ever taken a break from something and when you try to start up again, you can't? Because there's nothing in the engine. You had been running on fumes for years and the tank is empty.

That's my current situation with Patrik...

I am trying to get a page done and I'm just pushing pixels around. And the guilt of not getting a page done isn't enough of a motivator. I simply have very lil passion for this story at the moment as I'm getting a lot of creative fullfillment from other projects. I feel stuck with Patrik the Vampire because I would like to continue, but in order to there'd either need to be a BIG CHANGE in format (because drawing these characters has become such a chore) or I just....simply move on.

And with that, I say scene. Patrik the Vampire will be going on hiatus until November (I know, I'm sorry) so I can focus on the graphic novel I'm working.

But speaking of graphic novels, my traditional publishing debut Garlic & the Vampire hits bookstores September 28th!

Honestly the perfect page to celebrate 8 years of making this comic. It's so nice to finally be at this part of the story.

not gonna lie, when I had the idea to show Lara's audition instead of flashing back to what happened, I felt like a genius.

The rest of the chapter is going to discuss sexual assault, don't worry you aren't going to see anything (I could never draw that), but there will minor implied visuals (but like not what you're thinking, it'll be more clear on the next page).
